HOW TO NAIL THAT INTERVIEW 

 Covid has shifted the way companies recruit in a massive way. Physical interviews quickly turned virtual, meaning your interviewer can now see you in your actual environment.

 I was on a panel interview recently when the applicant’s baby, apparently sleeping in another room, started to screammmmmmm in the middle of the interview. She felt so embarrassed. “Don’t be” we said. “Go get your baby”. We paused and she went to get the little one. She rocked him gently in her hands...in seconds, he slept right back. We all laughed quietly. Attending virtual interviews, staring into a screen, and facing your “giants” can sometimes feel intimidating. 

One thing to remember is to show us your personality.

 We want to know the real person behind the piece of paper called CV. 

 ___ Prepare well. Keep your surrounding clean. Dress appropriately. 

 Make sure you’re in a quiet place. 

 Project your personality.

 Use headphones for clarity. 

 Drink water before starting (it hydrates your vocal chords).

 If after doing all these and more, your dog 🐕 walks majestically into the room, SMILE...everything is going to be alright!
