Unlocking Potentials

Good morning. Please let’s share

 *UNLOCKING YOUR POTENTIALS*

Isa 43:7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

One of the commonest prophesises I have heard a prophet tell anyone is that such individual has got a glory! Whether a prophet tells you or not, you are a star. Our text says that everyone God created is made to manifest God’s glory. You are created with some great potentials which if you manifest, your generation cannot but celebrate you and thank God for your life. “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life” (Ephe 2:10).

Our glory is likened to those of stars. Gen 1:16 “And God made two great lights…he made the stars also”. That is, there is one shinning sun and one glorious moon. But the stars are countless which gives spaces for endless inclusion in the race of shining! So I may not be the sun or the moon, but I am a star! To brighten my life and to give light to others! When Jesus was born, the wise men noticed a great star in the sky. I’m happy the glory of Jesus didn't appear as the moon or the sun. If Jesus was content being a star, I don’t mind not being the moon!

The beauty of stars is in their varieties “…star differs from star in glory” (1cor 15:41). Different does not mean inferior, it means unique! We don’t all have to be the same. The shining doctor is never inferior or superior to the shining preacher. Just shine your shine and let me shine my shine, if all of us shine our different lights, together we shall illuminate our world!

However,  the glory in you is in the form of potentials and it has to be unlocked before you can shine (2Cor 4:7). I define potentials as what you have the ability to become but that you have not become. You don’t become a celebrity because of the great thing you can do, but by your great achievements. When your abilities translate from imagination to actualization, your star enters its season of manifestation and celebration. That you are not yet celebrated does not signify that you lack a glory, it only indicates that your capabilities are not yet expressed.

The potentials in you are like a baby. A baby is a miniature human being, with eyes that can only see faintly and legs that can’t walk. But with time and nurturing, the baby will grow to maturity. Likewise the potentials in you are dormant until it is activated and nurtured. And you don’t know the particular thing you will become as a result of those abilities in you, what is sure is that your potentials if unlocked are capable to make you great. “Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed.” (1jhn 3:2).

God may not tell you what you will be, but he may show you a glimpse to motivate you to work out your dormant abilities. In Gen 37 Joseph had a dream that 11 stars was bowing down to him! The dream indicated a glorious future but nobody, not even joseph, knows which form the glory will take, whether he will shine as a farmer or as a warrior. Since Joseph was not sure what that glory means, he must be determined to be diligent in all things. He preacher says “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might…” (Eccle 9:10). It is laziness to do nothing because you are not sure of what you are best at, just be diligent at whatever responsibility occasion present. Until you try doing it you won’t know you have the ability to do it.

Joseph’s dream also indicates that each of Joseph’s brothers were stars in their own spaces if they could work hard. Yet these brothers could only think of eliminating the star of Joseph. The problem with envious people is that they are too blind to see their own glorious potentials. I’m too busy working hard to shine to have time to be jealous of another’s glory. Working out your potentials is the key to manifesting your glory! To be continued. ..

I decree it is your time to shine in Jesus name.
